Quote of the Moment
"We all know the value of a dollar and keep each other in check. For whatever reason, things just didn't go to my head. I was raised in a normal way, so I guess it's all just down to good parenting!"

VERY Short Hiatus
12 September, 2008

Hello everyone, I feel terrible that this site has kind of gone downhill the past two months. The reason is that I’m getting married so I’ve been extremely busy as of late and haven’t had a lot of time to update. I will be going on my honeymoon for a week but once I get back I’ll get the site back up to date with all photos and news that I have collected. Thanks to everyone who has been sending in information. I promise I’m not ignoring you on purpose, I just didn’t have time… I do appreciate it though :)

Voter Registration Gets Celebrities’ Endorsement
29 August, 2008

Vote! That’s the celebrity “it” endorsement of the year.

Non-partisan registration groups are enjoying a surge in celebrity participation this election cycle.

Cast members from ABC Family’s Greek are touring college campuses. Series star Spencer Grammer, 24, points out that it’s much easier for a celebrity to advocate voting than to side with a specific candidate and risk alienating fans.

“Why wouldn’t you want to get involved? I’m not saying ‘Hey, go vote for this person,’ I’m just saying ‘Hey, go vote.’”

Stars Want YOU to Register to Vote
24 August, 2008

Celebrities have lots of choices when getting involved in voting registration campaigns. USA TODAY’s Cindy Clark breaks down a few of the many groups on the ballot.

On filming PSAs on the set ofHSM in Utah: ”We worked closely with the film’s director, Kenny Ortega. He’s so passionate about the cause, and a lot of the kids were excited about it. When we got there, a lot of them were champing at the bit” to participate, says Diana Nguyen, associate director of Declare Yourself and producer of the HSM PSAs. “You won’t see Vanessa (Hudgens) and Ashley (Tisdale) because they were dancing on the set and filming the movie the whole time.”

‘The Hills’ Star to Go ‘Greek’?
21 August, 2008

Series creator Sean Smith revealed that [Lauren] Conrad, who will be shooting her Greek stint in early September, will be playing a spiritual adviser to Spencer Grammer’s character.  Smith said, “It’s a dream sequence in which Casey and LC are best friends.  Casey has a big decision she has to make, and she’s like, ‘LC, what do I do?  Advise me!’”

Smith adds that the dynamic of the two women actually remind him of “when Frankie Avalon is telling Frenchie what do to in Grease.  Casey holds LC in that high esteem.”

More Evan/Casey/Cappie drama perhaps? Remember that Greek will now appear on ABC Family on Tuesdays, with a new time slot :)

I have a ton of photos to add to the gallery including some recent appearances Spencer has made as well as some new Greek promo pictures. I also have screencaps from her guest appearance on Law & Order: SVU so be sure to look for those sometime this weekend. I also got my hands on a copy of Descent so I’ll be adding screencaps and clips of the movie to the site shortly.

Site Status Update
11 August, 2008

I’m really, really sorry for the lack of updates everyone. I’m not ignoring the site on purpose, so please don’t think it’s been abandoned. I’m getting married in a month so it’s that time of the planning where everything is rushed and last minute, and I’m having a hard time finding time to sit down and work on the site. After everything calms down, things should be back to normal.

Remember that season two premiers on August 26 (my birthday!) so be sure to tune to ABC Family.

ABC Family Announces Premiere Dates For ‘Greek’ and ‘Lincoln Heights’
18 July, 2008

Greek, teen drama that centers on college freshman Rusty (Jacob Zachar) who’s determined not to continue on his bookish geekiness from his high school days by entering the Greek system, returns with 10 new episodes instead of the initially hinted 12 installments for its sophomore season, which will kick off on Tuesday, August 26 at 9pm ET/PT.

The premiere date of Greek marks a change in date and time for the show, having previously aired on Mondays at 8pm. The new season finds the Greek gang returning to campus for the conclusion of their senior year, while the upperclassmen explore new relationships and academic aspirations as their upcoming senior year looms. The cast includes Spencer Grammer as Casey, Scott Michael Foster as Cappie, Jake McDorman as Evan, Clark Duke as Dale, Dilshad Vadsaria as Rebecca, Paul James as Calvin, Amber Stevens as Ashleigh and Tiffany DuPont as Frannie.

For those who missed an episode of Greek’s first season, you can catch up and relive the teen drama and the campus antics as ABC Family airs a nine-hour Greek marathon at 11am to 8pm on August 26.

GameSpot Party Draws Diverse Crowd
16 July, 2008

It’s not all dull PowerPoint presentations at the annual E3 convention. Gaming website GameSpot.com flexed its muscle in the video games industry Tuesday night as it hosted a swank party at Hollywood club Goa.

The guest list was jammed with gaming industry publicists, advertising reps, VPs of marketing and even the occasional programmer; many of whom would normally be denied entry by velvet-rope minders at the bi-level bar on a typical Saturday night (Goa maintains a notoriously tight door policy). This was their night of glory.

Of course, B-list actors and Russian models somehow found their way into the event. A paparazzi-lined red carpet set up around the back of the venue greeted such notables as Khloe Kardashian, rapper Heavy D, Mekhi Phifer, Boston Celtics star Sam Cassell, Taryn Manning, Kelsey Grammer’s daughter Spencer and Samantha Ronson, who DJed at the party.

Guests enjoyed an open bar, boxing bouts on Nintendo Wii Sports on gaming consoles specially set up inside the club, and an inspired musical set heavy on hip-hop from Hollywood’s DJ Vice (who played after Samantha Ronson).

And while the real hot ticket at E3 this year is tonight’s Harmonix/MTV Games “Rock Band” party featuring the Who, there were plenty of industry types who managed to have a good time at Gamespot’s soiree, which was the hot event to hit Tuesday.

The website sponsoring the bash remains of the top gaming websites for fans and industry alike; attracting around 60 million visitors annually, according to Compete.com. Gamespot’s parent company is San Francisco-based CNET.

And while this party, and other parties at E3 this year pale in comparrison to the massive events held in years past by companies like Sony and Microsoft, good times were still had by many. Check out the photo gallery for proof. You’ll see shots of some very happy (or just perhaps slightly inebriated) E3 attendees.

After all, it only happens once a year.
