At the festive party, Greek actress Spencer Grammer showed off her adorable 7-week-old son Emmett — Kelsey Grammer’s first grandchild!

Grammer’s daughter Spencer, 28, who was born to the actor’s first wife Doreen Alderman, welcomed her first child, son Emmett Emmanual Hesketh, on October 10, with her husband James Hesketh.

Grammer said that he has yet to meet his grandson, but was present at the hospital the night his daughter gave birth.

“I haven’t seen him face-to-face,” Grammer told OnTheRedCarpet.com. “I was there when he started his entrance but he didn’t quite come in time because I had to fly to Australia… but we got pictures the next morning. It was very exciting.”

Spencer, who starred in the ABC Family comedy series “Greek,” was Grammer’s only child with Alderman, a dance instructor who Grammer was married to from 1982 to 1990.

Married to husband James Hesketh and with baby number one on the way, the glowing mom-to-be is all smiles and is totally uninterested in the recent tabloid gossip surrounding her father.

RumorFix spoke with Spencer at the series premiere event of BOSS about the her father and his tabloid headlines. “I mean, ya, it’s just not, it’s just not important really,” she said. “At the end of the day, what’s important is the kind of people you are, and the love you have in a family.”

Sounds to us like the actor’s daughter has a good head on her shoulders!

Five-and-a-half months along, the Greek star, 27, tells PEOPLE she loves talking about her pregnancy, comparing it to how much she would talk about college when she was in that particular phase of her life.

“It’s my most important thing right now,” the daughter of Kelsey Grammer said at Petit Tresor and CoCaLo‘s Babies R Us collection launch in West Hollywood.

“It’s a great, beautiful thing that I’m really enjoying, and think every woman should enjoy.”

Grammer, accompanied by husband James Hesketh, calls the whole experience of carrying a child “like a science project.”

“You kind of become superhuman,” she explains. “You gain like a pint of blood. Your ribcage expands. There’s a really cool hormone that your body releases for your joints to loosen. You become some sort of crazy being. It’s amazing your body can do all these things.”

The actress, who has only gained nine pounds thus far, hasn’t really turned to her famous father for advice when it comes to raising kids.

“My dad told me it’s a beautiful thing and that I’ll figure it out,” she said with a laugh. “He’s been pretty busy with his own stuff and his life.”

But that doesn’t mean Grammer is lacking anyone to guide her through — Hesketh, whom she wed in February, is a pretty perfect partner.

“My husband helps a lot,” she says. “He’ll pick up stuff I’m not supposed to pick up. I’m not supposed to surf, I’m not supposed to go rock climbing, but that’s okay.”

Whlie there are clearly those who just look large and in charge (not to mention uncomfortable and swollen!), there are some that love the experience, feeling every bit of the glowing, beaming stereotype, and the 27-year-old Greek actress is definitely the latter!

Then again, she’s only five-and-a-half months pregnant currently, so not yet oversized, unable to sleep or get comfortable and constantly being approached by strangers in the middle of the summer heat. Perhaps when Spencer Grammer gets a bit closer to the end of her pregnancy, she’ll be singing a different tune?

Until then, it can definitely be said that Spencer Grammer is looking like an adorable pregnant twenty-something, and rightfully enjoying this time in her life!

The bride, 29, exchanged vows in a sleeveless, cream-colored silk gown, reportedly custom designed by Peter Langner for Mark Ingram, with an embellished bodice and straps. Bridal attendants included Walsh’s sister and Grammer’s adult daughters Spencer (a newlywed herself) and Greer — all of whom wore black dresses and Christian Louboutin heels.

TV Guide Magazine: Casey Cartwright: First-year law student. Are viewers in for some Legally Blonde-like moments?
Grammer: I think it’s completely inspired by that. [Laughs] You always root for Casey and it’s fun when she gets to succeed, especially when it’s with something completely ridiculous.

TV Guide Magazine: Will Casey ever succeed in making things work with on-again, off-again boyfriend Cappie?
Grammer: [Sighs] It’s much like it has been — up and down. But this season, Casey is more focused on figuring out who she wants to be and whether Cappie will fit into that. That’s her situation.

V Guide Magazine: And Casey is becoming a ZBZ housemother, so I guess that means she’ll still be active in Greek life?
Grammer: She wants to maintain her status and feel powerful, and she feels most comfortable at the ZBZ house, but since she’s not the Queen Bee any more, it’s frustrating for her.

TV Guide Magazine: Will Casey ever find time to unwind?
Grammer: There are a couple of big parties. There’s a luge at one of them that I slide down, so that’s kind of fun.

TV Guide Magazine: What else have you been up to?
Grammer: I needed some time to myself, so I enrolled in school.

TV Guide Magazine: Life imitating art?
Grammer: I didn’t have many classes left when I got Greek. I didn’t know we’d be a success! But I knew I’d go back and finish. I set goals and I stick to them.

“I’m wearing my New York uniform,” she says, “two black shirts, a black sweater and jeggings. Oh, and purple socks.”

As Casey on ABC Family’s Greek, Grammer is more fashion-oriented than she is on her own.

“They are just clothes at the end of the day,” Grammer says. “It’s not rocket science. They keep us warm. If you wear things that are really expensive, it may not be who you are.”

She attends some red carpet events with her dad, Kelsey, and she enjoys wearing a dress, but she raves when talking about her recent acquisition of a military backpack that she intends to take on her travels.

As Casey, however, she was more sorority sister, demure.

“I used to wear florally things or sweater sets,” she says.

“I wanted to age her up a bit more,” Grammer says of Casey’s evolving look. “Not any more empire-waisted cap-sleeved dresses. I am not that fussy. If you put it in the room, I will put it on.”

Now Casey is in law school and has changed her look.

“She has an every girl look, but every girl turning into a woman going into the first serious moment careerwise,” says costumer designer Carole Beadle.

“Now she has more sleek things,” Grammer says.

Beadle shops for Casey at H&M, Zara, Barneys, Urban Outfitters, Opening Ceremony and J. Crew.

Beadle also shops for Casey at Club Monaco and Banana Republic. Casey wears Theory suits and J Brand jeans. Her tops are from Helmut Lang and Marc Jacobs.

“She wears a lot of cardigans because Grammer likes sleeves,” Beadle says. “And she also wears lot of scarves. They just added that softness to her.”

Her shoes are from Dolce Vita, Jeffrey Campbell, Miu Miu and Nine West.

Though many college students live in jeans and sweatshirts, Beadle says Casey looks like a graduate student “with a bit of money. It’s not a major stretch, not like a Beverly Hills student. I definitely didn’t go that way. She could buy her stuff at Century 21 and on sale at Barneys. I just tried to bring some of the rest of America into it and I tried hard to not make it look West Coast.”

Casey “dresses for herself and not specifically to pick up a guy,” Beadle says. “But of course, with the attention to still looking – not dowdy at all – a little bit of cool, a little bit of academic, she dresses for herself and her vision for herself as a lawyer and starting to think ahead more.”
